Job Description:

Role Description: Responsible for compliance support related to the Community Reinvestment Act, which includes responsibility of compliance initiatives, planning, and coordinating new and ongoing projects. Maintain a current up to date understanding and knowledge of Fair Banking regulations and laws, including CRA, to meet the needs of the business units in alignment with enterprise wide CRA goals. Interact with peers across FNB and on the Fair Banking team to ensure compliance projects/tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Key Accountabilities:

CRA Program Support: Provide support to the CRA Director for FNBO/FNNI. Apply expertise to support the organization's mission & business needs.

Perform necessary research and provide management with solutions to proposed questions.

Work effectively with applicable business units to ensure clear understanding and alignment of efforts regarding CRA performance expectations.

Maintain thorough understanding of home mortgage and commercial lending activities and their relationship to CRA.

Maintain thorough understanding of CRA community development and apply knowledge to the identification of loans, investments, and services.

Business Acumen: Develop and maintain a broad understanding of all lines of business, key business drivers, overarching strategy of applicable divisions and compliance subjects.

Proactively identify and communicate CRA performance issues, deficiencies, gaps, etc. that impact divisions and Bank's ability to meet strategic CRA objectives.

Develop and promote recommendations to implement CRA initiatives/strategies and best practices that align with division work and support the achievement of business objectives.

Compliance Consulting: Effectively provide compliance consulting services to FNBO/FNNI personnel.

Perform necessary research and provide management with solutions to proposed questions.

Work effectively with Senior Management and/or stakeholders of FNBO/FNNI to ensure that controls are in place to manage compliance risk related to risk assessment activities.

Work effectively with assigned business unit to ensure clear understanding and alignment of efforts regarding compliance risk.

Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend opportunities to improve, align, standardize and streamline the overarching effectiveness of CRA performance across FNB.

Identify opportunities, provide input to, and lead or participate with implementation teams ensuring utilization and implementation of technology/systems/policy/procedures.

Assist with CRA compliance training.

Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, Education, Experience, and Physical Qualifications (if Required by Work of Role)


Five+ years of CRA community development experience highly desired

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications

Ability to multi-task while adhering to multiple timetables of completion

Works effectively as a team leader and team member

Works effectively with minimal supervision

Ability to build and develop collaborative working relationships

Ability to develop, organize, facilitate, and monitor compliance standards.

Ability to identify and recommend objective resolutions to problems and risk analysis.

Ability to present information and reporting in a clear and concise manner


Project Management experience

Lending operations experience (mortgage and commercial)
