PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Executive in this role will lead the overall delivery of Advice to the Individual Investors segment and is the ultimate authority and expert on how the Individual Investor segment delivers advice to clients. This includes:
Defining and implementing the strategy for advice delivery
Oversight of advice delivery for personal investors, including mass affluent and high value segments;
Oversight of call center management responsible for delivery of advice
Partnering with Head of Advice Solutions to ensure appropriate advice offers are effectively delivered in person, via phone, web/chat
Curation and development of “situational” advice delivery in conjunction with other advice offers
Partnering with Head of Marketing, Head of Business Development, Head of Personal Investor client experience and other peers to deliver business topline growth and meet or exceed client satisfaction goals.
Has accountability for long and short-term strategy to deliver advice to the individual investor segment with a particular focus on the personal investor segment, in order to obtain, retain and deepen client relationships. Influences senior leaders in the firm, including the Head of IRPS to adapt best and industry-leading practices in delivering investment advice to individuals. Partners with Head of Business Development and Head of Advice Solutions to ensure sales and client retention goals are met or exceeded.
Develops and leads organization of registered advisory representatives, supervisors and managers across three sites in order to delivery advice primarily via telephone, in person via Investor Centers and/or via chat/videoconference. Designs and maintains a highly-effective organization structure that optimizes the delivery of advice in an efficient, compliant manner. Fosters environment to deepen relationships with clients through positioning the appropriate advice solutions and broad product offering. Ensures high level of client satisfaction.
Curates and manages need to deliver “situational advice” to both mass affluent and high value client segments.
Ensures compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements associated with providing delivery of both discretionary and non-discretionary advice.
Oversees development and delivery of relevant training required to provide advice to individual investors. Sets short- and long-term strategies and evaluates effectiveness of current programs. Recommends advice product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and client retention. Offers extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Recruit, develop and retain top advisory talent and leadership. Establish advice coaching standards and processes. Continually assess organization talent level to improve performance and effectiveness. Raise standards and help foster a diverse and inclusive environment and high performance culture
Participate as member of Individual Investors leadership team to establish business strategy, create value for clients, lead change, and help drive organization effectiveness.
Graduate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Series 7, 24, 63 license is required
Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification is preferred
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of ten years successful financial services leadership experience delivering investment advice for individuals, with demonstrated success in leading an advice-driven team of leaders and client professionals.
Past experience in leading business unit or major business line in financial services with P&L responsibility.
Past experience leading advice strategy development, planning and execution for large, complex financial services organization.
Proven track record of driving and meeting ambitious advice delivery goals and other business results.
Recognized in industry as a leader in developing and managing organizations to consistently meet client needs and exceed goals.
Verified ability to execute and implement a strategic, quantifiable business case.
Demonstrated track record of governing over large, complex budget.
Strong industry, market, investor, competitor and product knowledge.
Complete knowledge and practice of industry rules, regulations and compliance protocols.
Excellent consultative, interpersonal and communication skills.
College degree and 8 years of related work experience, or
Associate degree and 10 years related work experience, or
High School diploma/equivalent and 12 years related work experience
