Supporting the functions of the TRP Investment Staff, the Portfolio Accounting Team Coordinator oversees the people and processes of one product line that ensure a seamless execution of the cash reconciliation, reporting and management. The team coordinator will ensure all work is covered and will fill in as needed. Directly supervises a team of portfolio accountants (typically associates and senior associates). Directs or contributes to training, new processes, developing and revising procedures, and communicating with the management in Portfolio Accounting.


Responsible for accounting operations of one investment product line, including cash reconciliation, reporting, and investing, and security reconciliation. Other operations include maintenance of records, preparation of reports, monitoring/reporting of compliance violations, resolving corporate action issues, and application of tax knowledge. Perform review of daily and month end work and follow up on outstanding issues. The Team Coordinator manages the workflow of the group to meet the department standards for accuracy and timeliness.

Hires, supervises and develops staff. Supervises staff to improve product line knowledge. Administers performance evaluations and assigns training to assist associates in fulfilling performance objectives. Initiates career discussions and delivers feedback and recognition. Work with other team coordinators, supervisors, managers to make business unit decisions related to staffing, product assignment, and changes or issues within the group.

Involved in department initiatives and projects to identify opportunities to enhance the quality and efficiency of portfolio accounting processes. Builds and maintains effective working relationships with the Investment Support Leadership Team, the Firm, and vendors.

  • Strong analytical and very strong quantitative skills

  • College degree, prior supervisory experience or prior related work experience.


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting/Finance

  • Minimum of 2 years of TRP or related experience

  • Minimum of 1 year prior supervisory experience
