Job Description: The registered nurse is responsible for the direct and indirect total nursing care of their assigned patients. They are also responsible for the supervision of assigned personnel. The position requires intimate knowledge of both department and hospital policies and procedures relevant to the delivery of nursing care. Interpretive skills, frequent interactive and consultative associations, along with management and supervisory skills are inherent in the position. The ability to retrieve, communicate or otherwise present information in a written, auditory or visual fashion is essential. The primary method to express or exchange ideas is through the spoken word. Written, telephone and manual dexterity skills are required for the position.
Current Florida Nursing License
BLS and ACLS issued by the American Heart Association required
NRP within 90 days and STABLE within 6 months of hire
Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring within 90 days of hire for nurses with >1 year of experience in L&D and within 1 year of hire for nurses with <1 year of experience in L&D (does not need to be maintained once Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring is achieved).
Advanced Fetal Heart monitoring within two years of achieving intermediate (must be kept current).
