Providence is calling a Senior Research Analyst to Providence Portland Medical Center in Portland, OR.
In this position, you will:
Provide research and analytic support to meet current and projected clinical translational research needs in support of preclinical and clinical researchers at the Earle A. Chiles Research Institute within the Providence Cancer Center.
Apply skills in biomedical research to promote advanced research into cancer and have significant responsibility for support of identified research projects, including project management.
Perform a variety of activities which include:
Working directly with researchers on the design and analysis of experiments
Complex patient immunological, Flow cytometry, microbiome, bioinformatics and “omics” data sets
Collection and interpretation of data
Preparation of presentations at scientific meetings
Authoring of scientific and clinical publications
Required qualifications for this position include:
Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) or Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in the biological sciences or related discipline
5 years of biomedical research experience with demonstrated knowledge of immunology
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Proficient knowledge of genetics, molecular biology, histology, cancer cell biology and flow cytometry
3 years of statistical analysis and statistical programming language (Ruby)
