Business Leader - MasterPass QR


One of the goals of the Global Acceptance & Merchant Products group is to build and manage new products that help optimize our existing merchant base and expand that base to new verticals through innovative, merchant-focused solutions.

The Business Leader for the MasterPass QR mobile payments solution will be an integral part of the design, launch and management of a set of solutions that enable push-payments.

The role will collaborate with internal MasterCard teams to establish a best in class product by leveraging PME principles.

The products will deliver on MasterCard€™s goal of reaching 100MM merchants who accept MasterCard.


Work independently and coordinate across a broad global organization.

Ensure effective follow through and flawless execution on projects

Create, manage and own product requirements from ideation to implementation across internal and external technology providers

Manage ongoing development, release & requirements process across product lifecycles

Manage requirements gathering, review and prioritization process with regions and external stakeholders

Ensure operational and implementation support processes are established and appropriate for customers and stakeholders

Serve as a subject matter expert internally and externally within key identified verticals and regions.

In partnership with Service Management, develop and document operational processes (e.g., billing, customer onboarding, customer support) required to scale new platform across markets

All About You

Significant experience in Payments Industry with proven success in bringing products from the drawing board to market

Bachelor€™s degree in business, finance, marketing or related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

Prior product management/development experience in the global payment industry; experience in product management from ideation through launch

Excellent problem solving, product documentation, and project management skills.

Proven ability to build and maintain strong, productive working relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers

Ability to influence people at multiple levels and navigate a global, decentralized organization

Ability to develop creative solutions for customer needs across multiple products and services.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
