Product Leader, Payments Technology Innovation - Acceptance & Acquiring

Can you operate as a generalist supporting several facets of the business, including strategic and analytical support, transforming how we deliver value to merchants and acquirers today through product conceptualization, design and development and / or partnerships?
Analyze and provide updates to entire team on industry, market, and product trends, existing / emerging competitors and other factors affecting merchants and acquirers
Engage in an interactive dialogue with merchants, acquirers and internal stakeholders to identify needs
Conduct desk research and synthesize existing analysis on merchant and acquirer segment needs based on regions and verticals, market trends and disruptions, competitive activities, and regulatory changes that inform the enhancement / development of products and solutions
Support market research efforts to validate new concepts and business opportunities
Help evaluate strategic opportunities for partnerships / investments by conducting market and financial opportunity analysis
Evaluate existing products, value propositions, or partnership opportunities to identify new ways to enhance and
integrate existing assets for merchants and acquirers
Identify new opportunities within the payments value chain by either creating solutions for other value chain participants or determining how create value by moving across the value chain.
Manage new product / partnership idea pipeline that anticipates and/or responds to merchant and acquirer needs, market trends and competitive threats
Support the development of business cases for new product concepts
Comply with the Product Management Excellence framework (New Product Development/Go-To-Market (NPD/GTM) Process).
Contribute to the development of new products / enhancements by managing elements in the product development life cycle - with input from regional merchant facing teams
Interface with internal development teams to translate value proposition into product requirements / specifications
Develop internal and external-facing presentations, including marketing and communication content
Support data analysis, optimization, and reporting efforts
ALL ABOUT YOU:
Background in payments, merchant and acquirer aspects of payments / merchant value chain
Knowledge of payments solutions (Gateways, Processing, Fraud, Payment Convergence, Loyalty)
Understanding of emerging payment technologies, merchant ecosystem players (Acquirers, Payment Facilitators)and merchant segments and verticals (Retail, T&E, Fuel, Grocery, e-Commerce, etc)
Experience in product development, project management, strategic analysis, partnership development and management
Ability to story board and develop visually compelling presentations with clear logic and structure
Ability to lead initiatives from start to finish, with excellent time management and organizational skills; the ability to manage conflicting priorities and multi-task effectively
Organizational savvy with proficiency in building an internal network to successfully execute cross functionally and across regions
Comfortable reporting to manager in another location
Robust problem solving skills with the capacity to identify key issues, synthesize large amounts of data and provide recommendations effectively
Self-starter / motivated to work independently and as an effective team member
Intellectually flexible, comfortable with ambiguity at times, yet eager to take on whatever role is necessary to achieve business objectives
Strong quality orientation and motivation to achieve outstanding performance
Ability to quickly learn and absorb new topics and information in a rapidly changing environment
Strong verbal and written communication
