3rd SHIFT Shipping Receiving Warehouse at ITW

Job Description


Thisposition is responsible toperform duties to receive purchased and incoming products and/or ship finishedproducts to customers.

Dutiesand Responsibilities

  • Receives customer orders, sorts by customer and ship date, as needed.

  • Picks parts for shipment and prepares shipping labels, as needed.

  • Moves freight to staging area. Follows specific shipping practices for each customer based on customer preferences--i.e., color coding, packing specifications, stacking preference, etc.

  • Places received product in designated areas within the warehouse.

  • Wraps orders for shipment using Stretch Wrap machine.

  • After completion of bill of lading/paperwork with carrier, loads the truck using hand jack, lift truck or other appropriate means.

  • Unloads verified freight from truck and places in designated inspection areas.

  • Forwards packing list/freight bills to the appropriate receiving inspector.

  • May fill in as needed for office personnel completing additional shipping responsibilities in absence of Lead.

  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or GED required, college degree a plus.

  • 1-2 years prior shipping/receiving experience

  • Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Trans4M a plus

  • Previous experience in driving/using a forklift, VNA forklift experience a plus

  • Must be flexible to work overtime and weekends

  • Strong communication skills and data accuracy Physical Demands:

  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

  • Must frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, stoop, kneel, turn body and stand for majority of work shift.

  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 55 pounds repetitively
