Information System Technology Manager at ITW
Provide technological leadership and directionfor business with $300 million in revenue and 400+ employee/users operatingacross multiple facilities. This rolewill manage the operational and security aspects of IT applications and infrastructure:hardware, voice and telecommunication networks and business systems andmaintenance including ERP and other applications. Manage the IT Team and drive results throughpersonal and team objectives
Work closely with division leadership
Understand division priorities and ensure IT strategy andactivities are aligned. Communicate IT activities, issues, risks, andopportunities and ensure division management has adequate information to make good decisions relating toIT.
Report regularly to division management how IT strategy andactivities are supporting growth and profitability. Work with local sites to maximizethe value of IT spend
Provide appropriate oversight into IT projects. Work withdivision management and use 80/20 principles to determine the right level ofinvolvement in IT projects.
Work with segment IT leader to understand and align tosegment IT strategies. Help define andpromote awareness of services that ITW Corporate provides.
Consult with key decision makers to analyze current andfuture needs. Evaluate, recommend anddevelop plans for systems development and operations.
Ensure that IT development projects are completed on time,within budget and meet the agreed upon performance requirements.
Negotiate contracts with consultants, technical personnel,and vendors for services and products.
Provide support to end users in the selection, procurement,usage, and maintenance of software programs and hardware.
Identify, lead and develop talent in order to maximizeindividual, team and organizational effectiveness in meeting company goals
ABachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Computer Science.
7years of experience working in IT.
3years supervisory/management experience.
Goodcommunication skills; both verbal and written.
Abilityto mentor, coach and develop staff
Idealcandidate will have strong experience working with business leaders, understandthe needs of the business and deliver technology solutions that meet thoseneeds.
Experience working in IT for a manufacturing company is required.
Experience implementing and supporting ERP systems.
Working knowledge of Trans4M ERP is strongly preferred.
Project management skills required
Setting department annual budget and operating to that budget.
Managing IT infrastructure including personal computing, helpdesk, servers, printers, and data center is preferred.
Managing data network and voice telecommunications systems.
Managing consulting/contract resources is preferred.
Managing budget for an organization is preferred.
Experience managing 3rd party vendors of Hardware, Software, Telecom, or Consulting services is preferred
Open area withindividual assigned to own work area. Weekend and night work should be minimal for system upgrades,maintenance and/or emergency situations. Local travel between facilities maybe required.
Must beable to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Speak and listen clearly. Vision required ; close distance, peripheral,depth perception and adjust focus.
