The Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester invites applications for a full-time position in Ethnomusicology at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2018. Applicants should have completed a PhD in Ethnomusicology (or related field) by the time of appointment; area of specialization is open. The successful applicant will teach graduate and undergraduateclasses on ethnomusicological topics; candidates who can also teach undergraduate Western music history courses will receive preference. The cover letter should discuss non-Western and Western repertoires the applicant is qualified to teach.
