OSF Healthcare Manager Housekeeping in Rockford, Illinois

Maintains a safe environment through an ongoing preventive maintenance, and cleaning program. Maintains records as required by the HCAHO and other regulatory agencies. Manages environmental services and laundry. Coordinates and serves as the organizations resource when selecting new furnishings, refurbishing existing furnishings, and selecting interior and exterior finishes for life cycle replacement, construction, remodeling, and face lift projects. Capable of communication with all levels of the organization to resolve operational problems. Prepares operational budget and is responsible for its control. Submits capital requests to the Director of Facilities Services. Personnel responsibilities include, interviewing, orientation, performance appraisals, hiring, and terminations. Directs and assigns work orders, and reviews to assure performance and productivity. Responsible for the continuing education of assigned personnel. Serves on committees, attends, meetings, and seminars as related to department. Performs other related duties as assigned, or required.


Five years managerial experience in a hospital setting.

Associate or Bachelor degree in related field.

(CHESP) Certified Healthcare Environment Services Professional.
