L and L Products Process Technician - Injection Molding in Romeo, Michigan
Description Summary of primary duties and responsibilities:
This position works closely with Tooling Engineering, Process Engineering, and Manufacturing to deliver new products on time, on cycle, and on specification, and optimizes and troubleshoots the Injection Molding and Automation processes and equipment.
Process and troubleshoot new molds in-house. Develop processes for production to use in set up of molds. Program and train robots and pick/place systems in work cells. Resolve robot issues on shift.
Support process improvement and new technology processes to achieve goals for profitability, safety, and ergonomics. Develop processes to manufacture new injection molded products and to optimize and improve current production processes.
Train team members on new Injection Molding Machines, Robots and other equipment.
High School Diploma
5 years of direct Injection Molding Processing with Automation
Formal processing training (RJG or equivalent, Fanuc robotics, etc) desired
College study in Injection Molding/Processing preferred but not required (experience considered in lieu of college).
Excellent Verbal and Written Communications skills
Pick-and-place and Robot experience (Program and Operate)
Experience in part processing at the press
Operation and adjustment of Injection Molding Machines
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
Working knowledge of floor paperwork
Oracle experience preferred; basic computer skills required
Understand and comply with applicable OSHA safety rules/regulations and Lock-out/Tagout requirements
