Position at Commercial Construction North America

ITW Commercial Construction North America is seeking a Plant Manager to provide leadership and direction for team members of the assigned facility to safely manufacture high-volume low-cost quality products, which meet our customers’ requirements in cost, delivery, and value.

ITW Commercial Construction encompasses the leading brands of Buildex® (Teks®, Tapcon®, Sammys®), Red Head (TruBolt®, Epcon®), and Ramset (Trakfast®) with an overall history dating back to 1910. Core Responsibilities:

  • Operate facility with a particular focus on safety—provide for employee awareness and participation, operating procedures and guidelines, training, substance abuse prevention, and fulfillment of OSHA and company compliance requirements

  • Ensure optimum and efficient utilization of people, equipment, and resources through project management, supply negotiations, etc.

  • Utilize feedback/assessment processes to make employees aware of goals and achievements

  • Meet facility permits/standards by operating within all applicable legal/environmental guidelines

  • Lead, develop and implement policies and procedures to execute annual and long-range plans

  • Identify, lead and develop talent

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor degree in Mechanica/Manufacturing Engineering or related field required

  • MBA preferred

  • Must possess a minimum of 7 years plant management experience

  • Strong project management skills to lead and direct manufacturing projects

  • People leadership experience managing direct and indirect staff

  • Operational analytical skills and demonstrated ability to develop/implement operational strategies

  • Demonstrated practice of world class manufacturing techniques: 5S, Lean, Kaizen, KanBan, etc.

  • Ability to understand, analyze and act on financial data and metrics including budgeting, financial tracking tools, and key performance indicators

  • Excellent communication, written and presentation skills

  • Must be able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines as required

  • Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office software
