The Division of Neurology with the Salisbury Health Care System, Salisbury NC is seeking a neurologist to join a growing team of academically-minded Neurologists. The position is for a full-time clinician-educator with shared responsibilities between both Kernersville and Salisbury locations. The candidate will primarily be responsible for a mix of outpatient and inpatient clinical care, as well as resident and medical student teaching. The ideal candidate must have interest in pursuing clinical research activities or a career as a clinician-educator. The applicants must meet criteria for a faculty appointment at Wake Forest School of Medicine and Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Neurology Board certification is preferred. The Neurology program provides complex inpatient and outpatient services with dedicated support staff and operational space. The Neurology program is highly focused on research and/ or educational outcomes. Services provided include EEGs, EMGs, sleep medicine, outpatient infusion services, botox treatment, inpatient consultation, and the facility is recognized as a VA Center of Excellence for MS care.

Basic Requirements*: *

  • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
  • Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
