CGI Federal, a wholly owned subsidiary of CGI and an industry leader in providing overpayment recovery services to healthcare payers throughout the US, is conducting a recruitment campaign in San Antonio, TX. Our objective is to hire a Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Specialist Call Center who will be responsible for providing telephonic support to customers inquiring about an outstanding debt to Medicare. Additionally, there is significant interaction with insurance companies (Group Health Plans) that are identified as being a primary payer to Medicare. To that end, Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Specialist Call Center will be responsible for the following:
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Under direct supervision, interfaces with employers and Group Health Plans via telephone, written correspondence and fax, to respond to routine inquiries and resolve concerns.
Use analytical/critical thinking skills to determine the nature of phone calls, appeals, and correspondence, follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to achieve call/case resolution
Maintains complete accurate documentation of all customer interactions
Researches case information by effectively using internal technical tools in response to inquiries including but not limited to, authorizations, payments, defenses and appeals.
Provide accurate and timely responses to queries
Escalate queries that are not routine or have special circumstances to supervisors in alignment with prescribed processes
Perform other duties as required.
Be available to work a standard shift between the hours of 7am CST 7pm CST.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
To be considered for the role, applicants must have demonstrated successful performance involving the following traits:
High School Diploma or equivalent required, some undergraduate coursework preferred
Call Center experience or equivalent experience in managing a high call volume within an office environment required.
Excellent customer service skills that incorporate courteous call etiquette and professionalism
Knowledge of HIPAA practices and experience in handling PHI preferred
Experience working with Claims processing preferred
Experience with Medicare, medical terminology/processes, and interpreting EOBs preferred
Ability to work in a fast-pace environment and adapt quickly to changes in processes and procedures
Ability to operate a computer and work with PC based software programs is required, basic skills with Microsoft Office Suite of tools including MS Word and Outlook are required, MS Excel is desired
Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven work environment, using multiple systems at a given time.
Demonstrates responsiveness and a sense of urgency when dealing with customers.
Time management skills and ability to adhere to a structured work schedule.
Willingness to work as an individual and as a team to achieve common goals
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Preference for candidates fluent in Spanish and English languages (both verbal and written).
