Description of Job Duties
Position function; Provide specialized skill and project management for the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) Advanced Manufacturing Project, Institute for Economic Development.
Responsible for management of all operations associated with Advanced Manufacturing Project eligible clients and firms to include the preparation and execution of the Advanced Manufacturing Program goals and objectives that include consulting with Minority Business Enterprises’ (MBE) to better their access to capital and markets domestically and globally. Work with stakeholders to help disseminate Trade services available and support clients in accessing capital for global sales and the facilitation of technical assistance.
Management of program staff, goals, and performance requirements.
Establish and maintain industry relationships.
Develop and conduct outreach services and marketing strategy to identify program clientele.
Identify providers for direct technical assistance to advanced manufacturing MBE clients and assist in selection.
Perform diagnostic assessments for prospective clients.
Preparation of action plans or marketing strategy for clients.
Envision and implement teaming agreement for advanced manufacturing MBE clients. Assistance to help MBE clients enter domestic and global supply chains.
Define the scope(s) of work, milestones, and negotiate the costs of the technical assistance to be provided to advanced manufacturing MBE clients.
Participate and speak at conferences and seminars regarding advanced manufacturing.
Draft correspondence, maintain client case files, accurate time sheets, and prepare monthly caseload reports for tracking clients.
Refer non-qualified customers to other specialized manufacturing services.
Coordinate marketing and technical assistance with other organization representatives as needed.
Supervise student interns if applicable.
Perform other duties as assigned.
