Five years of related experience in grant writing and/or grant administration in an academic, NSF, Department of Education, Foundation, SBA, Department of Commerce, International Agencies, Humanities, Social Sciences and Economic Development Fields and, Non-Gift collaborative, or related settings.
Strong analytical and organizational skills to track projects and tasks.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain time schedules and attention to detail while managing multiple priorities.
Ability to understand and solve complex problems in a deadline driven environment.

Knowledge of funding agency rules, regulations and programs
Knowledge of UT System rules and regulations
Experience negotiating grant and contract proposals.
Five years’ experience with international and economic development sponsored projects, and grant administration.
Three years’ experience in Pre and Post award administration of sponsored projects.
Description of Job Duties
Write, develop, create, and edit highly competitive research grants, proposals and or contacts. Constructing of projects and budgets.
Coordinate the activities, personnel and other resources needed to develop proposals and /or contracts.
Search and identify funding opportunities. Edit proposals and notify investigators and department administrators of grant award application deadlines.
Disseminate Federal Register notices regarding funding opportunities.
Seek and maintain active funding opportunity databases for statistics and other support documentation. Identify external support sources for scholarly activities and develop strategies and ideas.
Assist PI’s in preparing documentation for site visits.
Assist Investigators, Directors and department Administrators with grant/contract proposal development using sponsored projects system and /or grants.gov systems.
Interface with PI’s, Directors, and department Administrators and Grant Agencies regarding contract interpretation and sponsored programs policies.
Interpret information received from funding agencies and distribute to appropriate administrators and investigators.
Assist departments with contract administration; maintain, distribute current information regarding indirect cost rates, fringe benefit cost rates and other pertinent institutional data for proposal development.
Review and process pre-award application for Sponsored Projects to ensure compliance with Agency and University Regulations.
Serves as the Institutional coordinator of Grants.gov.
Assist PI’s in processing renewal applications for existing protocols.
Assist PI’s special projects.
Attend professional development conferences/workshops.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
