Sharp HealthCare Occupational Therapist I in San Diego, California
The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, directs and administers occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. Assists patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning, while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities. Participates in operational aspects of the department, maintains performance improvement activities within the department, and participates in CQI activities.
Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center provides comprehensive rehabilitation services throughout San Diego County, such as inpatient rehabilitation following catastrophic strokes, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries; outpatient rehabilitation for neurological concerns, sprains, strains and injuries; and specialty therapy services for problems related to balance, speech, lymphedema and chronic pain. The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) has awarded Sharp Memorial Rehabilitation Center with a special designation for the rehabilitation of patients with brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke and general rehabilitation designations.

This position is located in the community of Serra Mesa, San Diego County
8 hour shifts; full-time position to work 7:30 am. - 4:00 pm; schedule will include one weekend day per week.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Graduate of an approved professional school or graduate of accredited college or university with a certificate in Occupational Therapy
Current unencumbered California Occupational Therapy licensure
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Providers
One or more years of experience in Acute Care/Rehab Occupational Therapy
