What You Will Be Doing
This is a new position created due to growth, in this role you will be responsible for securing and retaining business through professional, consultative, proactive sales activity directed at decision makers and decision influencers. The role requires extensive travel throughout the California Region
To achieve top line revenue of Genomic Services into Key Biopharma and Clinical Accounts such as: Large Academic institutes in all areas of: Oncology and Pathology as well as Biopharma in area of Companion Dx and Genomic Developmental Services.
As the main point of contact for customer inquiries and outbound prospecting, covering the territory which is the California region
Own the entire sales process from initial contact to final order stage for all Genomic services being sold across the drug discovery, early stage target groups, preclinical groups and translational groups, clinical customers
We are looking for someone to look after and develop an exciting pipeline and someone that is a proven closer in this space.
What You Need for this Position
3+ years as a Sales Manager / Business Development Manager in service sales for genomic services
Live in California and be able to travel across the region 30% - 50% of the time
Extensive experience selling into drug discovery, early stage target groups, pharmacology groups, preclinical groups and translational groups and be able to open new contacts in those companies
Have worked with Genomic services such as DNA sequencing, Sanger sequencing, NGS services, FISH services, cytogenetics, PCR
Experienced in developing and closing transactions with key accounts
Have experience selling into big pharma/biotech/hospitals/physician accounts such as; Merck, Bayer, Novartis, GSK, Roche and Astra Zeneca, Five Prime, Roche, Onyx, Celgene
