The Interactive Technology & Media Services Department at Robert Half in San Ramon is currently looking for a Web Developer to join our corporate team.

The Web Developer is responsible for the front-end development of our global employee intranet and enterprise collaboration platform built on SharePoint Online.

As a Web Developer , your specific responsibilities will include:

  • Develop new websites/microsites, functional forms, web applications, web parts and maintain existing websites/microsites based on customer and management requests.
  • Ensure browser compatibility and exercise knowledge of web application concepts, practices, coding, and procedures.
  • Ensure web applications and are developed leveraging the portal coding standards.
  • Design HTML prototypes, visual interfaces, cascading style sheets, and interactions of web-based applications.
  • Translate wireframes and design mocks into HTML, and SharePoint websites.
  • Integrate audio, video, and animation (rich media) into existing designs and sites.
  • Develop new solutions for integrating systems, automating data gathering and synthesis for business enablement.
  • Manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Responsible for day to day support.
  • Develop and test product enhancements and new functionality.
  • Facilitate efforts to scope, schedule, test and deploy product enhancements and new functionality.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, as needed, to interview a designated group of field users (focus groups) to understand and address their needs, define problems as well as appropriate solution requirements, develop specifications, analyze and document business processes, validate test procedures, review training material for the user community and define future product direction.
  • Participate in IT JAD sessions and constantly research industry trends and web application best practices.
  • As a developer make recommendations for improvements to parallel overall customer strategies. Suggest improvements to business processes to gain advantages from new and existing tools.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in a related field such as computer science, computer information, or human-computer interaction.
  • 3+ years’ development experience is required.
  • 3+ years’ experience developing websites; solid skills in HTML5, XHTML, DHTML, XML, Cascading Style Sheets, and JavaScript is required.
  • SharePoint, JSP and JSTL knowledge is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Familiarity with JavaScript libraries and tools (jQuery, AngularJS, Bootstrap, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience using content management software.
  • Knowledge of enterprise applications, especially Exchange, SharePoint, and LDAP a plus.
  • Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, graphic applications, portal technology and content management systems is a plus.
  • Experience with mobile device development a plus.
  • Familiarity with Web 2.0 technologies (AJAX, Web Services, etc.) is preferred.
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills.
  • Understanding of customer service and/or technical support service.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that will enable this position to work well with key stakeholders; team organization skills.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with customers of varying levels of expertise.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information to less-technical users.
  • Ability to communicate in-depth business processes to technical resources.
  • Demonstrated customer service abilities.
