Work Schedule: Night Shift 11p-7a
Work Type: Full Time 1.0 FTE (80 Hours Bi-Weekly) Every other weekend and every other holiday

In accordance with the standards of care established by the State Board of Nursing, a registered nurse is responsible for delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. A registered nurse also directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the English language to effectively communicate with predominantly English-speaking population.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
For Registered Nurses that are newly hired externally or promoted into this Geisinger RN position by August 1, 2015, BSN degree is required or enrollment in a BSN program within 6 months of hire date with BSN degree completed within 4 years of hire date is required.For current Geisinger Registered Nurses who transfer into this position, BSN degree is preferred.Current BLS healthcare provider. ACLS within one (1) year of date of hire. PRNs must have ACLS at date of hire. Experience preferred; willing to train new graduates. PRN's must have a minimum of one (1) year of experience.
