Amazon is seeking an experienced, creative Designer with a proven track record of building effective visual campaigns that drive engagement. The Designer will drive the visual look, feel, and voice for our communication channels that reach and engage employees across the globe. Core Job Responsibilities (including, but not limited to): Develop and drive a visual style guide that engages and inspires Operations employees around the company's mission, values, activities and milestones. Lead visual design of global presentations and templates. Create and execute against new communication channels for driving the messaging framework in order to reach employees with information they want and care about. Operationalize the global use of our style guide so employees receive a consistent look, voice, and feel of our communications no matter what location they are in. Build a flexible design system that can be adjusted and modified on the fly based on success measurements for all communications related materials Have a passion for storytelling and putting stories to life visually Act as an internal communications partner for internal client groups Identify and implement new and innovative communication ideas Basic Qualifications An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating an excellent eye for graphic design (including color, layout, typography, and illustration) and experience creating great visual design solutions for print and digital media Bachelor's degree in graphic design or related degree Minimum 5 years of experience as a graphic or visual designer Demonstrated proficiency in the areas of typography, page layout, advertising, brochures, flyers, and digital media Proficiency in appropriate design tools, particularly the Adobe suite (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator) Demonstrates a thorough knowledge and skills of current web design principles, including experiences creating digital ad campaigns across a variety of media formats and devices. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in ecommerce and/or retail communications. Experience communicating to a mobile (non-desk) and diverse global audience. Knowledge of UX/UI best practices Knowledge and/or experiences with video editing or motion design A deep appreciation for simple solutions to complex problems Project management experience including the ability to articulate how design meets requirements in a creative brief. High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously. Strong leader with excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills; ability to work successfully with and influence all levels across Amazon. Independence and flexibility.
