The ideal candidate will have experience creating electrical wiring diagrams and developing 3D routing of wires and cable harnesses based on those schematics. He/she must enjoy problem solving and possess practical knowledge of connector selection, wire sizing, and installation of cable harnesses in volume-constrained products. The Electrical Wiring Harness Engineer will be responsible for: Generating 2D wiring diagrams and schematics of unmanned aerial vehicles Designing and routing wire- and cable- harnesses in 3D CAD models of vehicles Developing and maintaining the schematics library Creating 3D models for equipment, connectors, PCBs, and cabling accessories Generating documentation for cable harness fabrication and installation, including 2D production drawings and wire lists Working with Vehicle Structural Design and Hardware Development on electro-mechanical interfaces Working with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality to improve cable harness design and fabrication Working with an interdisciplinary team to execute product designs from concept to production, including design, prototyping, validation, testing and certification Export Control License This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon's ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
