Just as Kindle has transformed how people read books, the Newsstand team is transforming our customers' interaction with periodicals, including some of the world's top media brands such as Time, Sports Illustrated, People, Vogue, and more. Our business model strategy is two-fold: to partner closely with leading publishers to improve the economics of the existing industry and to innovate around helping consumers make the transition to digital consumption. We're looking for a creative, growth-oriented, data-driven marketer with a proven track record of helping e-commerce sites increase traffic and sales. This individual will build on the success we've seen this year with our marketing initiatives and accelerate that growth across all channels including email marketing, merchandising, search, associate channels, retargeting, social and content marketing. The right candidate will be grounded in current digital marketing best practices and help us think strategically and analytically about new opportunities. Core Responsibilities * Develop promotion planning and offer strategy including pricing, incentives and segmentation. Work with our publisher partners and other stakeholders to build velocity around a promotion calendar that leverages Amazon and publisher assets and industry best practices. * Review and rebuild email acquisition strategy, including segmentation and A/B testing to optimize the channel. Develop and implement ways to make email deployments more effective and efficient. * Work with internal Amazon teams to optimize SEO, SEM, retargeting and other channels to drive engagement and achieve conversion goals; -Leverage Amazon's 'big data' to increase the productivity of our acquisition efforts. Work with business intelligence team to build/refine acquisition models that maximize sales and downstream value to Amazon. -Work with internal teams to understand and improve algorithms that determine upsell and cross-sell capabilities within the Amazon ecosystem * Create and update weekly performance scorecards that monitor campaigns and track traffic and conversion metrics to enable continuous improvement of our marketing efforts; * Work closely with finance team to explain financial impacts of demand activities on p/l; * Plan and execute primary consumer research that answers key business questions; * Think strategically and analytically about new ways to introduce our products to customers and increase relevance. -Evaluate and champion ideas within the context of our current business model, while also looking for transformational opportunities that change our perceptions of our products and our markets. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of digital marketing experience with a track record of launching successful demand generation programs; Functional expertise in one or more of the customer acquisition channels listed above Analytical mindset with demonstrated proficiency in marketing and web metrics Ability to work with marketing automation tools to develop and execute email marketing campaigns High attention to detail and project management skills, able to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously Excellent communication and cross-departmental management skills Bachelor's Degree required Preferred Qualifications Functional expertise in digital and retail marketing (including email, SEO/SEM) Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results A desire to work in a fast-paced, data-driven environment Results-oriented problem-solver and team player Business a
