The Search Customer Experience team is responsible for the customer-facing features, information, and look & feel of search results on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices globally. We partner with the teams that power search relevance, query understanding, browse, and product recommendations. We launch new products and innovation by working with diverse businesses while utilizing data driven customer insights and machine learning technologies to build smarter search results. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our new Search Navigators team, a group of expert Product Managers and Designers who evaluate business and technical opportunities. This team is dedicated to helping internal business partners navigate the sea of search in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment. Specific Duties include: - Be an advocate for our customers and work backwards from their needs - Translate strategy into innovative and detailed product features, quantify their impact, and balance these growing business opportunities against technical constraints - Influence senior leaders across Amazon and communicate complex technical and product issues to drive resolution - Dig several layers deep into metrics, to understand key drivers and metrics to measure the customer experience and the business opportunities - Manage multiple competing projects simultaneously spanning dozens of business, retail services, platform, and tools teams - Follow customer and technology trends and Think Big about innovation. Basic Qualifications- Bachelors in Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, or related field - 4+ years of professional experience in software development - 2+ years of experience interfacing at VP/Senior leader level to regularly communicate and drive product discussions with a demonstrated success building buy-in for an innovative and bold vision - Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations and drive actions Technical fluency; comfort understanding and discussing architectural concepts, trade-offs and new opportunities with technical team members - Excellent interpersonal skills; proven ability to guide cross-functional teams through influence versus direct management - Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, and project management skills - Strong written communication skills Preferred Qualifications- Consulting background - Master's Degree in Computer science/Math or related field or MBA preferred - 6+ years of related industry experience - Understanding of fundamental search concepts such as indexing, ranking, relevancy, and web development - Loves to challenge status quo and reinvent on b
