Job DescriptionAmazon's Direct Fulfillment business inside the Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team is looking for a results oriented Technical Program Manager (TPM) to own and deliver new tools and capabilities to Amazon's Direct Fulfillment vendors. We are heads down in creating new, efficient tools and processes that help Direct Fulfillment vendors launch quickly; manage inventory, order and fulfillment experience efficiently and continuously grow their business with Amazon. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) you will contribute to the Direct Fulfillment vision and road map, create new programs that deliver significant business value to Amazon, influence system design, managing dependencies of our complex systems, and deliver major changes that often require perfect coordination with tens of client teams world-wide that rely on our systems. You will work with SDEs, research scientists, and Retail SMEs to solve these highly complex supply chain problems. You will collect requirements from our customers, negotiate delivery dates with our clients and dependent service teams, and manage deliveries of our projects. Basic Qualifications Demonstrable experience delivering complex technical projects that span technical teams. 7+ years of experience in technical program/project management. Experienced with defining project vision, collecting requirements, writing functional specifications, and coordinating multiple technical teams to deliver complex projects. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Ability to successfully communicate the status of complex projects to stakeholders across the company. Ability to work effectively with remote and international teams (both internal teams and stakeholders). Ability to work at a technical level with Software Development Engineers (SDE) and Engineering Managers (SDM) on system design, definition of requirements and system dependencies. Experience using SQL and other analytical tools to dive deeply into technical challenges and opportunities. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent areas. Preferred Qualifications MBA Experience in the supply chain space. A track record of delivering complex projects spanning multiple organizations.
