JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for programming and software development using various programming languages and related tools and frameworks, reviewing code written by other programmers, requirement gathering, bug fixing, testing, documenting and implementing software systems. Experienced programmers are also responsible for interpreting architecture and design, code reviews, mentoring, guiding and monitoring programmers, ensuring adherence to programming and documentation policies, software development, testing and release. You assign, coordinate, and review work and activities of programming personnel. Collaborate with computer manufacturers and other users to develop new programming methods. Supervise, train, mentor junior level programmers in programming and program coding. Represent team in project meetings. Work with business and functional analysts, and software & solution architects in ensuring that programs and systems function as intended Supervise, mentor and manage large teams of programmers in one or more projects . Represent project teams in project/program meetings or in meetings with sponsor.

  • Must have worked in Automotive Industry

  • 5 to 8 years of experience

  • Worked in the capacity of Project leader for the last 3 years

  • Has good understanding of requirement management.

  • Familiar with specs for Major OEM related IPC

  • Create project plan and assess risk, track project progress

  • Communicate with stake holders including internal and external.

  • Set time lines and follow up with stake holders on regular basis and communicate status on regular basis

  • Work with remote suppliers and customers

  • Work with technical teams on SW development, validation and bug fixes reported from field

  • Understand product life cycle, pre-release and post release process.

  • Able to lead multiple small group of teams.

  • Strong experience in managing Vehicle Cluster / Infotainment

  • Has very strong software process background in an Automotive company

  • Software requirement management.
