Our European Service Centre office based in Swords Dublin employs approximately 900 people with over 29 different nationalities and we’re currently looking for a HR Business Partner who will report to Site Leader & Senior Director Shared Services.

What is this role all about?

Partner with the Hertz Europe Service Centre (HESC) Management to deliver on its goals and objectives through the provision of excellent Human Resource practices

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • To provide guidance, counsel and advice to line managers on all aspects of people management, drawing on best practice, internal policies, legislation and ensuring consistency of application across the organisation.

  • To facilitate the resolution of employee relations issues in a fair and consistent manner.

  • To work closely with Management on transformational activities within the business.

  • To provide Change Management leadership and facilitation on activities associated with business transformation.

  • To lead and manage ad hoc projects as assigned or identified.

  • To participate in recommending changes and improvements to existing processes. To update, document and implement these changes in order to ensure best HR practice throughout HESC.

  • To provide support and training on key HR initiatives such as Talent Development and Performance management to people managers and employees throughout the business.

  • To represent the HR function at relevant meetings as required ensuring that internally HR are visible throughout the organisation, and are seen as a key business partner.

  • To identify and drive HR initiatives, both specifically for a particular customer base and organisational-wide to ensure Best HR practice throughout HESC.

  • General ad-hoc tasks and duties as requested

Essential Requirements:

What do we need from you?

  • Fully CIPD Qualified (Chartered)

  • Business / HR Degree

  • 5/6 yearsworking in a HR Generalist / Business Partner role providing support to various business functions

  • Negotiation skills

  • Facilitation and consultative skills.

  • Relationship building and management

  • Strong business/customer service orientation required.

  • High Level Verbal and Written Communication Skills.

  • Presentation skills.


  • Working knowledge of current Irish employment legislation.

  • Change Management tools and models

  • A successful track record in delivering organisation-wide projects.

  • Solid experience of facilitating and advising on complex organisation change initiatives in the workplace
