Electronic Arts, Inc Community Engagement Manager - South East Asia & China in Sydney, Australia

The South-East Asia & Greater China Community Engagement Manager is a key role within EA’s Sydney-based Asia Pacific Marketing team. Reporting to the South-East Asia & Greater China Marketing & Communication Manager, you will be responsible for engaging and building loyalty with EA’s communities, igniting social advocacy at scale with local relevancy with local players, communities and influencers within the territory.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for the execution of the local Community plan, within the framework of the regional & global strategy.

  • Manage and moderate all relevant community channels while stimulating the right conversations.

  • Responsible for scheduling and posting content own all EA owned channels, and the ability to work with 1st party partners to provide content on external channels.

  • Managing the relationship between agencies and external partners locally.

  • Curate content for local executions, including both EA and user-generated content.

  • Create local content if commissioned by overall strategy.

  • Identify key influencers, engage in outreach activities to build and maintain relationships.

  • Work with relevant social & communication agencies, regarding the planning and execution of local strategies.

  • Execute global game changer programmes in-market.

  • Act as the local lead for our Competitive Gaming Division, including associated channel execution.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • A passion for video games and the entertainment industry.

  • Fluent in both English and Mandarin, both written and spoken.

  • An understanding of key cultural celebrations and holiday periods, including key relevant market events that are unique to the region.

  • In-depth practical knowledge of social media platforms across the region.

  • Strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience in managing relationships with social media agencies.

  • A proven track record in working in a multinational environment across a diverse market.

  • A team-first player, who works in a collaborative, team orientated fashion, though demonstrates a strong personal work ethic.
