Job Description Summary

Onondaga Community College is a two-year college located on a 280-acre campus in Syracuse, NY. OCC operates under the State University of New York (SUNY) system and is locally sponsored by Onondaga County. Bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees are available on campus through the Regional Higher Education Center. OCC has been named a “Military Friendly” school by G.I. Minimum Qualifications

-A five-year Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from a NAAB accredited institution;

-Five years of work experience in architecture;

-Accepted and currently participating in the NCARB/IDP;

-Prior experience providing training or instruction in the Architecture field;

-Active participation in professional and community organizations;

-Knowledge and enthusiasm about design, construction technology, sustainability and resiliency issues.

Preferred Qualifications

-Architectural Licensure;


-Master’s Degree in Architecture;

-Prior college teaching experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

-Professional computer skills including MS Office Suite or similar software, along with in-depth knowledge of 2D and 3D architectural software such as Sketch Up, AutoCAD, and Revit.
