JPMorgan Chase GBDS -Operations Supervisor in Taguig City, Philippines

Reporting to the Operation Manager, carry out all staff, administration and production related duties in line with operational procedures.

Trains and coaches the team, act as a subject matter expert and review the team’s work for accuracy and quality. He/ she will handle exception items, escalated issues and assign ad hoc work to the staff.

Financial / Administration

· Manage costs in line with agreed budgets.

· Preparation of monthly Ad Hoc invoice.

· Managing outsourced print spend and job tracker

· Supporting Business and client projects

· Monitoring of weekly and monthly overtime ensuring operators upload overtime request by required deadline

· Stock management of consumables and paper

· Demonstrate an expert knowledge of Work Flow Exchange

· To ensure all copies are accounted for and are reconciled with the meter readings

· To comply with the Procedures Manual and Service Level Agreement


· Operational problem resolution.

· Develop relationships with key contact and day to day clients.

· Set and review local operating procedures within standard framework.

· Meet and improve all service levels outlined within contract.

· Identify opportunities for business growth and highlight to Operations Manager

· Support the implementation of new service and project plans.

· Gain a good understanding of client business and share this knowledge with all employees.

· Measure customer satisfaction and subsequently take appropriate action.

People management and development

· Performance management of direct reports

· Responsible for performance management, including performance evaluations & corrective action, may be involved in some level of salary planning

· Assigns & sets workflow priorities

· Ensure that Health & Safety requirements of site are meet

· Ensure effective two way communication with direct reports.

· Ensure that training and development for all staff is appropriate and effective and that active PMC’s in place for all staff.

· Manage shift rotation so that the print room is manned and operational

· Succession planning for key operational roles.

· Manage all holiday requests through GAT and ensure shifts are covered at all times.

· Monitor all staff sickness through GAT and escalate to Operation Manager when required

· Measure customer satisfaction and subsequently take appropriate action.

Operational efficiency

· To demonstrate pride and professionalism in all aspects of work

· Working knowledge of off site out work print production from Litho, digital and large format.

· To have a working knowledge of all production equipment in line with job specification.

· Demonstrate a expert knowledge of all software packages required to manipulate print files and colour calibration using a variety of software packages including:

o Microsoft Office suite

o Adobe Acrobat

· To advise users and staff on the appropriate methods of production and provide technical support and advice where necessary

· To investigate any breeches of quality control by the shift and ensuring any mistakes are understood and corrected in line with user specification.

· Gain a good understanding of client business and share this knowledge with all employees

· To monitor and cost control stock levels of consumables and paper and order accordingly to maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.

· Ensure all aspects of housekeeping are maintained in the print room and the all areas are keep clean and tidy

· Any reasonable ad hoc duties as required by Operation Supervisor or Operation Manager

Continuous improvement

· To comply with the Procedures Manual, SLA’s and H&S regulations

· Review client feedback and unit performance information

· Comply with recommended Health and Safety policies

· Be aware of and maintain safe working practices related to H&S and COSSH regulations 1988

· High School Diploma required or the equivalent. College Degree preferred.

· Minimum 1-2 years mgmt experience

· Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational, time management and planning skills

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
