POSITION SUMMARY: The registered nurse provides clinical and administrative support to the outpatient Behavioral Health program. The RN performs therapeutic measures prescribed and delegated by the physician. Participates in client education and rehabilitation and provides interpretation of treatment to the client and the patient’s family.
EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, required
State of Florida RN License required
BLS – AHA Healthcare Provider required
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
Minimum of 1 year in psychiatric nursing required
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Reads and writes Basic English with the basic skills necessary to transcribe physician’s orders
Demonstrate leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
General knowledge of psychiatric nursing practice
Ability to listen, empathize and respond to patient, family, internal and external partners needs
Able to work multiple units
Basic computer skills
CUSTOMERS SERVED: All employees, staff of Capital Regional Medical center in both clinical and non-clinical departments, including patients/families, physicians, volunteers, agency, contract, students and the community.
POPULATION SERVED: Primarily adults age 18 and older in the behavioral health outpatient setting.
