Senior Account Manager, Market Development Fuel Vertical
Overview\n\nThe US Market Development group is in place to ensure careful and appropriate utilization of MasterCard resources to support achievement of mutual objectives with key accounts, core verticals, acquirers and non-financial organizations. \n\nThe USMD purpose is to coordinate and lead cross-organizational efforts to execute against the MasterCard strategy (product, marketing, pricing & interchange, acquirer team, franchise etc.) while being internal and external advocates for the merchant/acquirer stakeholders in assisting to advance MasterCard share and revenue goals. \n\nThis individual will be responsible for sales and overall relationship management within fuel merchant accounts and the industry. \nThis in an individual contributor role, responsible for managing fuel merchant relationships and working with senior and C-level executives to build strong partnerships and deliver customized solutions that deliver bottom line results to the customer and support MasterCards financial and strategic objectives.\n\nHave you ever cultivated senior level relationships in selling in products and services within the payment industry to maintain a preferred and trusted partner status?\n\nHave you developed detailed business cases, including financial analysis/modeling, in support of vertical and/or merchant initiatives?\n\nAre you competent in leading customer contract negotiations?\n\nRole\n\nSenior Account Manager, Market Development Fuel Vertical (Business Leader)\n\nDrive sales of MasterCard products and services into key accounts\nProvide superior strategic account management driven by robust account planning, thorough understanding of payment economics, and adherence to Value Driver Selling process and principles\nManage multiple, complex and strategic relationships and ensure strong alignment across MasterCard\nIdentify and develop new business opportunities that provide the best potential for future business growth, an appreciable return on financial investments, based on market and competitive intelligence and analysis.\nSupport of strategically significant organizational initiatives, including cross-selling of key MasterCard products and solutions to deepen relationships (e.g., co-brand, commercial, payroll, Advisors, Truaxis, etc.).\n\nAll About You\n\nBachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred.\nSignificant knowledge of the Fuel vertical, merchant motivations, market dynamics, and business development opportunities is critical for success in this role. Individual must be able to identify and address related operational topics.\nDirect fuel industry experience within payments is highly desirable.\nStrategic/consultative selling to large, complex, non-financial institutions\nKnowledge of payments industry, understanding of competitive landscape and industry trends a plus\nKnowledge of products, services and solutions within the payments business and ability to identify and address operational challenges is preferred.\nStrong problem solving skills with an ability to identify key issues, structure analysis and solid business cases and provide recommendations effectively\nSenior level presentation and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing to all levels within the organization\nStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in team environment \nAnalytical skills; Conceptual thinking; Problem resolution; Strategic planning\nSelf-motivated with a proven track record of delivering sales success while operating within a team environment\nTravel up to 25%, or more, may be required.\n*LI-AP1
