HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Respiratory Therapist Cert IV (NICU) - Respiratory Therapy - FT - Nights in Thousand Oaks, California

A neonatal respiratory therapist requires specialized training in neonatal respiratory care. The respiratory therapist is responsible for respiratory procedures and equipment in the NICU and nursery, attending high-risk deliveries, going on transport to other hospitals to pick up sick newborns.


Education/Certifications/Licenses: High school education. Graduation of an AMA approved 1 or 2 year Respiratory therapy Program. Current State of California RCP License. Current BCLS, NRP prefer PALS.

Experience/Skills: 2-years experience in an acute care setting. Minimum of one-year experience in a level II or III NICU. Demonstrates desired clinical skills related to Respiratory Therapy. Good communication and computer skills desirable. Ability to handle multiple priorities, without sacrificing quality of care.
