Position Overview Purpose of Job:


  • Working with assigned accounts to maintain and develop business opportunities

  • Take responsibility for client and employee interactions concerning seconded clinical personnel and relevant commercial activities.

  • Recruitment, selection, interviewing, client placement and line management (in partnership with client company) of InVentiv Health Clinical (iHC) employees

  • Work to Best Practice for Client and Employee care

  • Accountable for project FTEs and finance

Customer Focus

  • To promote InVentiv Health Clinical as a professional, high quality Staffing Business

  • Develop and maintain a customer focus reputation with both clients and candidates

  • Establish and maintain excellent candidate management for ongoing placements

  • Take accurate briefs from clients and prepare proposals and contracts

  • Build relationships with the objective of increasing business opportunities within established clients

  • Working to Best Practice, take a proactive approach to client feedback and actions

  • Manage employee career development through use of iHC and SRG processes

  • Ensure reference checks on candidates (following job offer) are conducted by the recruitment team and relevant information provided for Clients.

  • Attract and retain high-calibre employees for SRG, taking every opportunity of reminding employees and candidates about the Referral Processes

  • Ensure contract renewals (client and employees) are timely and accurate and all client agreements are to agreed margins

  • Ensure that all contract ends and assignment moves are conduct smoothly and to the benefit of the employee, Client(s) and iHC and SRG



  • To interview experienced candidates for our database and for presentation to clients or colleagues

  • Take a proactive approach within Operations Team

  • Manage employee HR issues (e.g. sickness, absences, performance) in line with company policies and procedures

  • Identify employee-training needs and discuss with Director - Operations.

  • Conduct company orientation for insourced employees where required



  • Proof read draft copy for website vacancies when required.

  • Be main point of contact for employees assigned to clients

  • Conduct employee and client meetings to agreed timeframes and report accordingly

  • Be able to utilise recruitment database for searches to identify potential candidates for client

  • Provide Clients with appropriate feedback as agreed at start of assignment

  • Liaise with internal departments (e.g. HR, Legal, IT and finance) and communicate as appropriate with Clients and employees

  • Provide employees with regular feedback re iHC and SRG and career opportunities



  • Accompany Director to client meetings and pitches as requested.

  • Cover for colleagues’ absences

  • Share competitor and client information with team

  • Maintain candidate database

  • Develop business opportunities within assigned account

  • Achieve FTE, revenue and earnings targets for SRG on assigned accounts and identify growth opportunities (clients and candidates)

  • Represent iHC and SRG at employee meetings and at external meetings (e.g. ARCS)


The post-holder will perform necessary functions and as directed, any other duties commensurate with the post to ensure the smooth running of operations within the location(s).

  • University degree or equivalent.

  • Clinical Research experience mandatory

  • Experience of working in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry mandatory.

  • Willingness to participate in the recruitment process for broad range of positions.

  • Willingness to cold-call as a sourcing method where appropriate.

  • Excellent customer service skills. 

  • Very strong organization skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships and the ability to work with executives and senior management.

  • Must have strong negotiation skills
