Sanofi Pasteur Limited is looking for an innovative, customer-focused and results driven individual to join our Site Quality Operations team.The individual appointed to this position will report to the Deputy Director of the Quality Control Immunochemistry Laboratory and will be responsible for managing a high volume of Quality Control testing of vaccines by teams of Analysts, in compliance with cGMP, Pharmacopeia and Quality Systems; managing changes with Regulatory Agencies worldwide; optimizing resources and test methods to meet testing demand forecast in the context of cutting edge technologies.

Responsibilities include:

1. Organize availability of validated test methods and daily operations to ensure on time testing while ensuring compliance.

2.Scientifically support test method changes with Regulatory Agencies worldwide and definition of testing requirements for licensure.

3.Investigate and develop new procedures and techniques to maximize efficiencies within the department.Improve and optimize testing procedures through test modifications and replacement, while investigating cost reduction measures.

4.Define optimal scheduling and capacity planning of work groups to maximize efficiencies. Participate in annual budgetary preparation and budget monitoring providing insight into department requirements current and future.

5. Focus on staff development; promote individual responsibility for personal and departmental improvement through the use of objectives and training initiatives. Establish development plans for staff to maximize current and future capacity requirements.

6. Implement and follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment is maintained.


Qualifications Required:

Minimum M.Sc. in Immunology or a related field such as Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences or Molecular Biology plus a minimum of five (5) years of previous relevant experience in a high volume laboratory setting.

Sound knowledgeand experience in the fields of immunoassay development and validation, Immunology, biological testing, animal testing and vaccine manufacturing is essential.

Previous supervisory experience is an asset.

Strong organizational, communication and problem solving skills.

Sound statistical knowledge and computer literacy.
