We are currently recruiting to fill one vacant journey-level Fiscal Analyst position. This recruitment may also be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded accounting professional.
You will accurately coordinate receipts and/or disbursements, and ensure the integrity of financial reporting. You will utilize effective communication skills to clarify and confirm information, and to complete transactions.
Working in a professional deadline driven fiscal-oriented team environment, you will balance and reconcile daily and monthly financial reports, research and resolve discrepancies, and prepare journal vouchers to initiate and record transactions.
You will also recommend and assist in the design and improvement of accounting procedures and reports, and you will write and suggest changes to procedures and tasks for desk manuals.
Desired qualifications include:
- An Associate's degree in Accounting OR at least two years of general accounting experience, preferably in a government entity;
- At least one year of experience using the Agency Financial Reporting Systems (AFRS);
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Word (2010 or newer); and
- Demonstrated proficiency in the following competency areas:
