This position is located in the logistics section of a Battalion (BN) or Squadron (Sqdrn) size unit of the Army National Guard without a property book section. The purpose of this position is to function as the Assistant Logistics NCO for the organization. Under the technical direction of the senior Logistics NCO, this position accomplishes work in the area of logistics.

Incumbent is responsible to provide technical assistance to subordinate units, the headquarters logistics section, or other staff sections concerning logistics and maintenance management. Assists in providing proficiency training for logistical personnel within the command. Provides input for the development of command logistics policies.
Consolidates unit level logistics feeder information for the organizational readiness report. Coordinates for the receipt and issue of billeting, equipment, and supplies for training. Prepares reports, schedules repair or maintenance, and requests replacement of GSA vehicles.
Review , monitors, and forwards logistics correspondence and documents. May be required to coordinate with local officials, service organizations, etc., for a variety of purposes: armory security coordination with police, rental of the armory, recruiting activities, and organizational participation in celebrations. Performs other duties as assigned.

General Experience: Experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or condition encountered. Experience using computer and automation systems.

Specialized Experience:(GS-06) - 9 months experience in which the applicant demonstrates:
Experience which demonstrates a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment.
Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for routine supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts.
Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
"If serving under an incentive contract, termination of that incentive(s) will occur effective one day prior to your AGR, Permanent Military Technician, or Indefinite Military Technician start date. Temporary Military Technicians will have their incentive terminated if their tour exceeds 179 days in a continuous 12-month period."
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: NOTE: College Transcripts are required if you wish to use Education as a substitution for experience or if a degree is a requirement for the position. A copy of the transcript must be submitted with the Job Application.
Completion of 2 academic years of education in an accredited college or university will satisfy the requirements for GS-4 positions. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience for GS-5 positions.
Quality of Experience Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the Supply Clerk and Technician positions.
This position is being announced in accordance with state merit promotion procedures and collective bargaining agreement. Wearing of the appropriate military uniform is required while employed in this position. Permanent change of duty station (PCS) funds are not available.
If you are an AGR and are selected for this position, you will be required to vacate your AGR status.
Successful applicant will be assigned to a compatible military position in an appropriate unit of assignment in the Ohio National Guard.
Military Requirements Military skill set is determined by AFSC/MOS requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC/MOS in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC/MOS. Specific requirements are found in: references listed below, NGB Compatibility tables and your local Personnel section.

For positions requiring a security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) the applicant must possess or be able to obtain a clearance within one year of appointment.
