Position Description:

Candidate is responsible for supporting operations and maintenance of a hosted software solution.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

In this role, the candidate would

• Deploy software releases for various applications; patching third party products including application servers, Web servers, etc.

• Develop tools to automate processes as it relates to operations, maintenance, deployments, scheduling, etc.

• Resolve escalated tickets resulting from software defects, incorrect configurations, known issues, etc.

• Address problem tickets by restoring service, applying workarounds, etc.

• Review logs in support of investigation of issues.

• Support testing efforts

• Maintain documentation

• Monitor scheduler, batch job processing, system maintenance procedures

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• A bachelors degree in business, information systems, or related field or equivalent experience

• Background in systems analysis, software design/administration, or systems/applications software development.

• Experience working in environments under configuration management control, identifying and deploying solutions, and communicating directly with client stakeholders

• Strong adherence to stringent change and configuration management processes

• General knowledge of application software design, deployment, etc.

• A high degree of comfort with relational databases and SQL

• Experience with UNIX operating systems

• Ability to work both independently and with a team to solve problems

• Initiative to quickly learn and put new skills to use

• Strong written and oral communications skills

Top Secret clearance; Occasional night/weekend work needed for configurations/deployments during outage windows. Must be willing to support 8 hours shifts that start at 7:00 am

Desired:

• Production operations experience with Momentum Financials/ERP preferred

• Experience with application servers (examples only: Oracle WebLogic, Software AG webMethods and Oracle Tuxedo)

• Experience with software development lifecycles (agile, waterfall)

• Tools experience including source/version control, service desk ticketing, defect reporting
