Job Description / Information
To conduct routine inspection & testing of product quality from receiving inspection through final product release based upon predetermined requirements. Activities include prioritization and completion of inspection/testing and periodic documentation control system activities to support production and commercial release activities.
Demonstrate a primary commitment to patient safety, product quality and compliance with the Stryker, Quality Manual and its governing regulations.
Perform accept/reject processes on components, subassemblies, and finished products based on established specification requirements.
Monitor and initiate appropriate corrective-actions based on the alert and action levels for environmental systems.
Participate and interface in external & internal audits with regulatory representatives.
Coordinate product disposition reviews and approvals.
Develop and maintain quality indices for trending/management reviews.
Monitor/assess production control charting, if applicable.
Assure proper control, segregation, identification, and status of materials.
Schedule and supervise activities as deemed necessary.
Conduct other tasks as required.
Maintain a clean, safe, health conscious work area.
Support Quality Engineering& Quality Compliance activities, where requested.
Ability to demonstrate dexterity sufficiently to inspection operations.
Ability to lift up to 25#s routinely; 50#s occasionally.
Occasionally travel for long distances by commercial means.
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years experience in medical device or other technical industry working with measuring equipment.
Ability to work well with others in a team setting.
Able to read and understand engineering drawings and documents.
Ability to utilize statistical techniques, where applicable.
Able to work well with little supervision.
Able to communicate effectively with supervisor as to the status of important issues
