The Training Specialist Principal independently evaluates training needs, develops training strategies, participates in the development and implementation of training programs, and maintains curriculum for all Manufacturing, Quality, and Support personnel asneeded.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee the development of custom training programs, including computer based training programs and instructor led training programs

  • Lead training project teams and manages training activities to effectively implementstrategic business objectives in driving quality, compliance and effectiveness.

  • Collaborate with other site and corporate training personnel to make informed decisions about training policies, procedures, and compliance.

  • Train other trainers and evaluate other trainer’s skills

  • Design training materials, ensuring sound adult learning and instructional design principles and methodologies (i.e. Kirkpatrick, ADDIE)

  • Recommend appropriate training solutions to management regarding trainee ortrainer performance, industry trends, and other business needs.

  • Oversee development of curricula requirements and manage assignments within the learning management system (LMS) for intended audience

  • Maintain training records, either paper-based orelectronic, for intended audience inaccordance with GxP and applicable regulations

  • Manage and update annual training plan for intended audience(s)

  • Instruct both classroom-based and online (i.e. Webex) sessions

  • Participate in cross functional project teams as appropriate and provide guidance for training development and rollout strategy.

  • Oversee, perform peer review, and provide feedback on training materials designed by others as needed




  • Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of experience

  • Master’s degree and 8 years of experience

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


  • Plateau or other Learning Management Systems

  • Experience with one or more e-learning software tools (eg Articulate Storyline, Captivate, or Lectora)

  • Microsoft Project and Excel

  • 5 years developing, delivering, and assessing training in both individual and classroom settings

  • 5 years of experience working in a regulated environment
