Ministry Saint Clare's Hospital is bringing a hyperbaric chamber to the Saint Clare's campus and we are hiring a team for that department.
The Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator is a vital member of the patient care team. In accordance with the patient/family plan of care, the Coordinator, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, collects patient information and provides direct patient care that contributes significantly to achievement of patient and family outcomes. As a member of the direct care team, the Coordinator is responsible and accountable for complete and accurate data collection and recording, completion of routine and delegated direct care activities, and communicating and collaborating with the Registered Nurse to prioritize workload so that patient care outcomes are achieved. The Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator is a vital member of the hyperbaric team and works closely with the medical director and hyperbaric nurse manager to oversee the quality of services and to ensure that current standards of practices and compliance with NFPA regulations are met. Through attention to detail and vigilance the Hyperbaric Safety Coordinator oversees the technical operational procedures of the department, and is responsible for ensuring safe order and discipline among the staff and patients. NFPA 220.127.116.11.2 Each hyperbaric facility shall designate an on-site safety director to be in charge of all hyperbaric equipment and the operational safety requirements of this chapter. NFPA Chapter 14. Qualifications: High- school diploma or equivalent. Completion of Emergency Medical Technician program or greater education. Obtain Certified Hyperbaric Technician/RN and graduate from the Hyperbaric Safety Director Course. Minimum of 12 months experience in clinical hyperbaric chamber operations. Minimum requirement of one year experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant or other medical health professional Certified Hyperbaric Technician within one year of hire date. Licensed minimally as an Emergency Medical Technician in the State of Wisconsin. Job: Staff Registered Nurses
