This position is at our Little Falls, (Wilmington), Delaware site, located midway between Baltimore and Philadelphia. There, we have 800 people inventing, designing, building and marketing products that dominate the market for chemical analysis. Our products are frequently behind the headlines in the news, from environmental regulations to new drug discoveries to Homeland Security. You'll even see our instruments on television shows like "CSI". The Gas Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer (GCMS) manufacturing engineering team is looking to hire an Electronics/Software Technician.
Assist Engineering team with qualifications of Mass Spectrometer (new parts, vendors or designs)
GCMS Final Test Assistance: Assist lead engineers with troubleshooting GCMS technical issues
Assist with Production Documentation: This role will occasionally require development of documentation of assembly or test procedures
Website Maintenance: Maintain dates, information, and links on the GC/MS and LFS Manufacturing websites.
Assist with Mfg test S/W development (C#, Python, Java).
Working with the Mfg and New Product Introduction (NPI)team to bring products out of Research & Development (R&D;) into manufacturing
Use SAP to create BOM, write Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and track inventory
The job candidate must be pursuing or have an Associates degree in Electronics or Software and have experience or meet requirements in the following areas:
Requires some higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Typically minimum of 3 years relevant experience for entry to this level.
Requires complete understanding of general and technical aspects of job.
Programming skills required in the following languages: C-Family (C, C++, Java, C#), HTML, Visual Basic.
Ability to communicate needs, plans and achievements at all levels of a corporate organization.
Demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet commitments.
Ability to simultaneously participate in multiple issues as they arise in a manufacturing environment.
Willingness to work in a hands-on environment.
Willingness to take on new challenges and learn from the experience of coworkers.
Experience scheduling and completing tasks on schedule.
Project coordination and management skills.
