We are currently searching for a Senior Traffic/Transportation Coordinator - Different Shifts available to join our team in Cedar Rapids, IA (1000). Performs outbound commercial and government, international and domestic Shipping locations. Generates various shipping output and processes SAP documentation and transactions.
Interacts with internal and external customers to provide shipment detail. Various filing and spreadsheet duties and solves routine shipping problems of moderate scope and complexity.
Possesses an expert understanding of the shipping processes and can assist with the various alignments within the enterprise. Understands lean initiatives and can participate in lean events.
Performs carrier routing based on contracted and best freight rates. Tracks freight spend and provides quotes for RCI Contracts department. Conducts research on transportation methods, rates, and routes.
Processes various government paperwork to include DD 250, DD 1149, DD 1348, and various government bills of lading. Performs No License Required (NLR) international shipments.
Plans and coordinates shipment activities. Performs various Shipping transactions to provide customer output and shipment detail. Output includes customer bar code label, pack slips, and address labels and automated or manual carrier bills. Documents processes and makes recommendations for improvements.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current Drivers license preferred
Knowledge with the logistical process of shipping and receiving is preferred
SAP knowledge Preferred
