Provides effective and coordinated front-line leadership for assigned inpatient units operating on a 24-hour basis. Assists the Director in maintaining nursing standards and supporting competent practice of unit staff. Supports quality, safe patient care, efficient operations and personnel needs while assuring a high degree of customer service, evidence based practice, and responsible stewardship of resources.
