What You'll Do
As the senior technical lead, you will provide technical leadership in an engineering team with highly talented engineers in Central Software Group of Cisco. Your responsibilities include the following:
Architect, Design, Development, Coding and Testing of routing software modules, that enable critical solutions for the enterprise products, and provide them a competitive edge.
Conduct and participate in peer code/design reviews.
Deliver detailed functional and design specifications of the software.
Work closely with the adjacent software teams in defining the programming interfaces into the various other software modules.

Entreprise Core Software Group (CSG) brings together platform independent operating system and networking protocols teams across multiple OSes. CSG has the charter for all platform independent software as well as Network Services. CSG owns the core software development for Cisco engineering - aligned around customer and business needs - to deliver outcomes faster and to deliver solutions that meet their business priorities. Qualifications and Skills
You've the knowledge and expertise in these following areas
10+ years of industry experience in software development with Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related major, or equivalent experience is required.
Must be able to demonstrate excellent analytical skill and ability to learn quickly
Ability to solve complex problems involving multiple products.
Ability to effectively present technological concepts to a wide audience.
Ability to influence the development of industry wide standards.
Good communication and presentation skills are highly desirable. Excellent teamwork and people skills.
Exercises good judgement determining how to best achieve technical objectives of assignment.
Creative analytical skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills.
Programming experience (C, C++ ), script languages (Perl, Python)
Familiarity with Unix/Linux. Experience using RTOS (ex: QNX, VxWorks)
Experience working on embedded systems
Technical knowledge of Routing and Switching, Security technologies and protocols and networking fundamentals and protocols (for example, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
