The Business Supervision Controls Group provides supervisory oversight for TIAA, FSB’s fiduciary business (“TIAA Trust”). Projections for future growth of TIAA Trust require increased staffing to holistically improve and manage our first line of defense. This position is located in either St. Louis or Charlotte, NC.

This position is a lead business analyst role assisting with the execution of TIAA Trust’s Business Supervision and Process Controls Program. Reporting to a manager within TIAA Trust’s BSC group, this role will be instrumental in providing key monitoring and oversight support to TIAA Trust management and various Officers’ Committees. This role will require flexibility and willingness to both participate in and lead various initiatives across multiple lines of business within TIAA Trust. The ideal candidate for this role will exhibit skill in balancing multiple priorities to address emerging risks.


  • Serve as a positive agent for change.

  • Evaluate current business practices for opportunities to implement process improvements, reduce costs, and/or strengthen the current control environment.

  • Review business policies and procedures and implement updates, enhancements or develop new procedures as TIAA Trust expands in the fiduciary area.

  • Be instrumental in preparing TIAA Trust for future regulatory examinations and mitigate any existing findings from prior examinations.

  • Improve areas that show below average controls on the TIAA Trust risk and control self-assessment (RCSA).

  • Identify and implement ways to improve key risk indicators that are trending below expectations.

  • Participate in developing reports to provide ongoing feedback to TIAA Trust Management.

  • Develop and train TIAA Trust employees on enhancements, policies and procedures.

  • Provide support to TIAA Trust during the conversion process from SEI’s Trust 3000 system to the SEI Wealth Platform (SWP).

  • Provide support for tracking various on-going projects.

  • Act as a trusted advisor for TIAA Trust.



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree

  • Five plus years of financial services experience. Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Trust Services.

  • Compliance, Risk, or Audit experience.

  • A positive approach and inquisitive mind.

  • High ethical and integrity standards.

  • Ability to work independently and handle high work volumes.

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

  • Excellent written and oral communications.
